Depending on the codecs you are using we recommend a 10 GBit ethernet link for edit station connectivity.

Final Cut Pro 7 should be configured to use the Just Store for media only. Project files, cache files and autosave vaults should be configured to use the local disk (unless you are using flow:project). Depending on the codecs you are using we would recommend a 10 GBit ethernet link for edit station connectivity.

Final Cut Pro X should be configured to use Just Store as a location for a external media. If you wish to use the system to store FCPX Libraries you must configure the sharepoint to connect via NFS. We recommend configuring FCPX to use Just Store as an external source of media and to keep all library files, cache files and project files on the local disk (unless you are using flow:project).

If it is required to share Projects/Libraries with other editors (or if you are moving to another edit station), they can be moved onto the Just Store system later. Just Store is optimized for large media files so smaller files will impact the performance of the storage. Depending on the codecs you are using we recommend a 10 GBit ethernet link for edit station connectivity.
