Classic QuickTime Container
Important: Please use Adobe Premiere Pro 26.0.2 and do not upgrade to version 26.2.0 or later. Versions 26.2.0 and later currently do not correctly parse the video essence information in growing files.
This release introduces the new Container type Classic QuickTime designed to streamline growing file workflows for MOV containers within Adobe Premiere Pro 25.x or 26.0.2.
The Classic QuickTime MOV-based container type enables Adobe Premiere Pro users to manage growing files with the same efficiency as with MXF containers. Files expand seamlessly within the timeline, allowing for simple extension through drag-and-drop functionality.
The Classic QuickTime container is available for HD and UHD-based Capture Presets and the Apple ProRes codecs.

This dedicated container is provided and maintained by ToolsOnAir. Adobe does not officially support growing files within an MOV container and changes to Adobe Premiere Pro’s parsing mechanism might interfere with the ability to properly display the growing files in the Adobe Premiere Pro timeline.
