9. just:connect (v2.0)

just:connect acts like a database and allows you to setup and manage channels, Just Live/ Just Play UIs and engines. Use just:connect to create channels, define the volumes and folders on your storage system (= repository folders) where the engine and UI look for data, manage users and make use of security/redundancy functions.

• Engine Configuration: Use just:connect to configure just:out which does the final output.
• Channel Setup: Setup and maintain a single or multiple channels using the same just:connect.
• Rights Management: Control who may connect to a channel and what rights a user has to alter a schedule. In addition you can define passwords for each user for additional security.
• Centralized Schedule: For each channel a single copy of the schedule is held by just:connect and sent to the clients.
• Redundancy: Optionally a second just:out engine can be defined for each layer to act as a redundant playout node. In this case every change made in Just Live/Just Play will be sent to the master and the redundant engine automatically.
• Automatic Channel Backup: There is a backup feature that allows you to automatically backup all of your channels to a second destination.
• Additional functions: With version 2 we added the ability to add more on:core based functions like failover switch or FAB Subtitle integration to a channel. Please contact TOA for more informations.
